Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Pennsylvania

Had a stress test done on may 9th was told on may 10th test was negative. yesterday may 30th went to doctor for follow up and was told second part of the test came back on may 23rd and they found something 3 areas of heart have build up. why was i never notified and told they were waiting for the rest of the results. i have been in contact with my doctor and her office at least twice a week because i am applying for short term disabilty and have never been told about the results. i went to her because of chest pain on my left side and numbness in my left arm which she diganosed me with stenosis and has ordered me to go thereapy which i have for 3 weeks now but the pain in my chest is still there. i am very upset that i was never told and why did it take so long for my test to be read since i had it done on may 9th? would if i would of had a heart attack in the meantime?

If you had no evidence of a heart condition requiring treatment other than therapy, then you have not suffered any significant injury as a consequence of the error. In medical malpractice cases in Pennsylvania and elsewhere, claims are based on injuries suffered as a consequence of negligent care. They are not based on injuries which might have happened, but did not.
