another way

my brother went awol yesterday from the maines isn't there some other way then going back to soi how can we get him dischared? he is not the same he really can't do it the equipment is heavy then he is and he really wasn't suppose to be there he failed all the test there at bootcamp and even before he leave bootcamp. he's in infranty at camp geiger nc and they don't care can someone plz help me and let me know if there is a way to get him discharged rather then going back???

He cannot fix the problem until he returns to military control. Then and only then can he apply for administrative separation.

AWOL stops all pay and allowances. It is a violation of military law. The military will not negotiate with your brother while his is awol.

Going back is tough, but not going back is tougher in the long run. After 30 days its desertion, and now you're looking at a federal felony record.

I would strongly suggest you get your brother back to military control. While there are services that offer to help awol military people, they have an agenda that is not necessarily consonant with the best interests of your brother.

Everything is hard before it is easy.
