marine awol
my brother went awol today and he is really depressed and going through alot. the marines is not for him and he also has a back problem and the di at camp gieger just don't care. i was wondering since he never got on the plane to finish his soi trainning will he get in trouble?

If he is awol, he's already in trouble. Lots of people get in and find out that the marines are not for them. Unfortunately, that's why the military makes you sign a contract, and has the force of law to back it up. Your brother should immediately return himself to military control. The problem grows exponentially with each day he is outside military control. He needs to return. If he is gone longer than 30 days, that's desertion, and that will result in far greater punishment than mere awol.
If your brother will not turn himself in, I would urge you to contact the marines and report his location. The sooner he gets back, the sooner he can address the issues and get some resolution.
