Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

I was in an accident in december- not my fault- now I think I am having long ter

I was in a car accident in December, not my fault . I hit the roof of my car with my head but did not go to the hospital at the time because I did not feel I was injured. Now since the accident I have been having increased memory problems to the point that I find it difficult to work and more and to function on a daily basis. I forget things all the time now. Could this be due to the accident and what is the liability of the other driver in this case. I have limited tort insurance, I need to know how to proceed in establishing the responsibility of my problem and how to pursue any liability action I need to take in this matter. A possible answer and referral to a local attorney would be appeciated...

Your message doesn't indicate whether you've ever seen your doctor, now six months since the accident! Do that first, make sure you give a full history of the impact and how you've felt since then. Take your auto insurance information and give it to the doctor's clerk, becausee treatment related to the accident should be billed to your own company, under PIP coverage.

Head injury symptoms can be subtle and long-term, and prompt treatment is very important.

It's going to be hard enough to get past the "serious injury" threshold, think about how it would look if you haven't sought medical treatment before consulting a lawyer!

You may have to be assertive in finding responsive treatment. So-called "minor closed head injury" is a frustrating condition and there are some good support groups out there.

I handle these case. We need to see if there is a police report establishing the accicdent. you then need ot go to a neurologist. If you have memory loss and it is roven, the limited tort part will go away. You can call me 800-310-4800
