Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania
My ex boyfriend bought me a car for Christmas but he least it and put it in his company's name, I have emails from him stating the I can keep the car.....the lease will be up next December. I want the car signed over to me....it was a gift and he also bought me an engagement ring and took it out of my house when I was not there. What are my legal rights?

He is an ex-boyfriend so I assume you are no longer together and that the marriage is off. A git occurs when someone gives you something, which includes indicia of ownership (like a title). Since the car is in his company's name, its the company's car, not yours. When the lease is up, you need to give the car back or make arrangements to buy the car, but if the ex-boyfriend refuses to transfer it to you for free, then I don't think you have a case. And you have no rights to the engagement ring. See Lindh v. Surman, a PA Supreme Court, 560 PA 1, 742 A.2d 643 (1999). I don't understand how he "took" it from your home. Did he burglarize your home or did he have a key? Since it was his property, I am not sure he can be charged with theft. If he burglarized your home, that is a different matter.
