Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

I was in a car accident and the woman who caused it has no insurance. She haves no assets or money, is it true if I sue her I might get nothing?

Very difficult to get money out of a human being!

Did you buy uninsured motorist coverage with your automobile insurance? If so, you'll be able to get money from your uninsured coverage. The process is very confusing. Find an experienced injury atty to represent you--the difference between what that atty will get for you and what you can get w/o an atty will more than justify the fee. Call me if you want recommendations of experienced attys near you. Richard Senker 1 866 AUTOCRASH (toll free)

That is true. When you sue a person and win you get something called a judgment. You would then have the right to collect on that judgment, but if the person has no assets, then there is nothing to collect. Judgments can be kept alive for a long time, so it would be possible to collect sometime in the future if she would ever get assets, but it is seldom worth the time or money to go after someone with no money or assets.

However, if you have insurance, you may be able to recover against your uninsured/underinsured coverage. If you would like to discuss further, feel free to contact me.
