Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

i went to a club to see a show and spoke to the bouncer who was outside. he told me that the show was $15. i asked him where an atm was and he said 17th st and i asked where that was because i wasn't from the area. he said 'well this is 18th so that means that's 17th st' in an insulting was as to say that i'm stupid.

after paying he said to another employee "she has no idea"

so i got the money and came back. i went inside for ten minutes. then i went outside to smoke. when i was outside some people approached and he told them they could go in for free.

so i want to sue this company. i was insulted and they made me pay for a show while letting other people in for free which is further insulting. i work in the service industry and policy is to treat customers with respect and not insult them.

Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like there is much of a case here. To have a civil suit, there must be damages. There doesn't sound like there is sufficient damages here. The cost of litigation is very high, so the damages must exceed the high cost of litigation. If these insults were so severe that you required some sort of psychological treatment, then maybe there would be a case.

In PA, there is a tort called: intentional infliction of emotional distresss, however, even if all the elements of that tort are met, there still must be some damages.

If this is something you would like to pursue, I would suggest that you consult with a local attorney, but based on the facts presented here, it doesn't sound like there is a case.
