How long can a injury case be deferred when the defendant is in Jail?

You must file a lawsuit within two years of the injury, regardless of whether you are in jail. If the case has already been filed, there are ways to defer it for short amounts of time, but also ways to have the inmate brought down for hearings and dressed in civilian clothes.
