Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

Dog bites

While volunteering at a shelter,

i was bitten by a dog. This

required an emergency room

visit, stitches, followed by an

infection - surgery - 3 day

hospital stay. Even though i

signed a disclaimer, I am not

sure who pays the bills. ER

says the shelter, surgeon says

my medical coverage should

take care of everything.

Re: Dog bites

Your medical coverage should pay for it. If your pursue the shelter or the owner of the dog and are successful, then the insurer may have a lien to get paid back. If interested in pursuing an action for your injuries against the owner or shelter, you may contact me to discuss the same. I have several office locations, and there is no fee for the consultation.

Re: Dog bites

Dog bites are serious matters. The shelter should cover your medical bills before your own insurance company. Give our offices a call. We can handle the claims process.
