Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

A dog ran onto a rural road and my husband hit and killed it...he thought he hit a deer. The owners say they are suing us! Our car is damaged. We feel bad about the dog but the owners are being extremely unreasonable. Are we responsible to pay for their dead pet?

No. The owners are responsible for contolling their dog.
