Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

While I was driving back to my home, suddenly someone open his door while I'm passing him, there was a damage in my car and his door, the police officer came 5min later, verbally he said it was the guy fault he should check his side mirror before he leaves his car but in the police reort was neutral, he said my version and he said the version of the other driver, which is his door was already open before I pass.

Since then I contacted his insurance company, they send me an expert he took pictures and gave me an estimate of the damage he told me that I'm going to receive the money in ~ 10 days.

Then nothing happend, I tried to contact them over and over and each time I have to talk to different person, and I have to explain the case again and again and again. each time they tell that they couldn't reach their insurer, they need to talk to him first and see his car, for 2 months no answer, they even send him mail and it came back, by the way this guy didn't open a case with my insurance company to ask for money since he said it was my fault.

After 2 months and half, after a phone call to his insurance company they told me that the case is closed, their insurer contacted them and he fixed his car .

What does it mean? They told me do like him fix it by youself. we're not going to pay.

I really need your help, what do your advice for me to get the money from them.

This is what insurance companies do. Remeber it next time they ask you to limit someones right to sue. Tell all your friends too. You need to hire a lawyer or take yourself over to the county court and file a small claims lawsuit against the guy who opened the door. It is his bill.he will then fight with his insurance company

Sue the other guy at the district justice (small claims court) either where the collision occurred or where the other guy lives. Do it w/o a lawyer. Either side can appeal the result. You may need a lawyer then. Call if you want to discuss. 1 866 AUTOCRASH.
