Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania
Golf cart accident
I was run over by a golf cart at the Briarwood golf course near York PA. The gentleman in the golf cart backed over me in the parking lot. There were witnesses. My question is '' does the golf course have any liability for this accident?'' My medical expenses, including knee sugery, were slightly inexcess of $4200. I previously asked a question wrt this accident but did not inquire as to the golf course's liability

Re: Golf cart accident
The only sure way to learn if the golf course has liability coverge is to sue them! If you call them (or if a lawyer wrote them) to ask them to report the incident to their insurance company, they might do that and you might hear from the insurance company.

You should speak to an attorney as soon as possible. Feel free to call our offices or e-mail me directly at my e-mail below and we can talk about your case. It appears to me that there is some liability on behalf of both the driver and the golf course.

Re: Golf cart accident
In order to determine whether there is premises liability a review of the facts is needed. The area where the injury occurred, restrictions on use of the cart, whether the limitations with use are proper, etc. These several matters pertain to whether there is liability and without liability there is little chance of any recovery through an insurance claim.
Kindly understand that the insurance companies and the golf course will have legal representation as well as experienced adjusters and without representation you are likely to be at a decided disadvantage.
