Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania
Injured in a fall
I fell when a bench that is managed by a department store collapsed. the store manager gave me the phone no. for their maintenance man and they told me that people keep falling on the bench. My question is arent they responsible due to their neglect not to inform the county about the broken bench? They continued to allow people to fall over and over.

You took the first step in providing notice to them of the incident. As it would appear that they had notice of a dangerous condition, they would be liable for the incident and your injuries. If injured, you should promptly seek medical attention. If you do not have insurance, I can refer you to medical professionals who could treat you, with no up front payment, but paid out of settlement. I offer free consultations and 6 office locations.

The deptartment store has a duty to warn its customers that the bench is not safe, and its failure to warn you should make the store liable for any injuries that result. I don't know of any duty to advise the County. Were you injured? Do you want to make a claim for damages against the store? Please call me if you have any questions.
