Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania
Insurance Company
I was the passenger in a vehicle and as a result I received injuries. Is the drivers insurance company obligated to provide certain information to me or an attorney? If my medical treatment is more than the drivers policy covers for bodily injury will I be forced to pay for the remaining portion of the bill and does that mean I will not receive a settlement?

1. If you have your own auto ins, your own ins co is responsible for paying your med bills, no matter who is at fault. 2. If you do not own a car, & do not reside with a relative who owns a car & has auto ins, then the ins co for the car in which you were a passenger pays your med bills. 3. If your bills exceed the auto coverage limits, you must use your health ins to pay any excess med bills. 4. If you do not have health ins, or if you have med bills not paid by health ins, then the ins co for the at fault driver pays. You really need to speak with an experienced personal injury lawyer. My firm handles these cases. Please call me if have any further questions. Good luck!

There are many issues raised by your question, and without further information, it is difficult to give you an accurate answer. First, do you own a car? If so, do you have full or llimited tort coverage? Who caused the accident? Do you have private health insurance coverage? All of these questions have to be answered first. I suggest you contact a lawyer and discuss these issues with him/her. There is usually no charge for an initial consultation. If I can be of any help, please email me.
Re: Insurance Company
the drivers insurance and , if you own a car, your insurance is to provide money for bills. If the amount of bills is in excess of the medical coverage, the balance should be submitted to your health carrier. any unpaid bills are your respnsibility but you should recover them from the person responsible for the accident. However, he may not have enough insurance, in which case, if you own a car, you can claim UIM insurance, should you have purchased it. If you want more details please feel fre to call
