Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania
I a few months back was in a car accident were the driver fell asleep in a vehicle and struck a tree and as a result i had to get an appendectomy ( no illegal substances were police were there and i have the police report). I am now taking care of the legal process for a settlement i was curious how much money is this case worth. I could do nothing for 2 weeks and could not lift anything over 10lbs for 2 months.

The answer depends on a number of factors, including the insurance limits on the relevant policies, your injuries, damages, long term prognosis, etc.
You should not attempt to deal with the insurance company without an attorney. They will invariably try to convince you that you don't need an attorney and will try to convince you to settle for less than the case is worth.
Feel free to email me if you don't have an attorney.
It is difficult to say how much your case is worth because you have not given enough information. However, generally you should consider not only how your injuries affected you in the past but also how they will affect you in the future. For instance, you may have future pain and suffering as well as future lost wages. These factors are just a few of the many things you will need to consider to arrive at a fair settlement number. You should consult with an attorney at least for the limited purpose of reviewing your entire file and advising as to what your case may be worth.
