Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania
My mother just got in a car accident. She was completely not at fault, the other guy ran a red light and smashed right into her. She's in a lot of pain right now and I was wondering if she could seek some kind of money for pain and suffering? She does have limited tort, and I know that with that you cannot seek money for something which isn't a serious medical problem , but is there still something that she could get from the insurance or even by pursuing a case in court?
Thank you for your help.

Hi,
First of all, I hope your mother is feeling better. The short answer is yes. There are possible avenues of recovery. It will depend on several factors. Please feel free to contact me at 215 735 4800.
Thanks.
There are exceptions to the Limited Tort Rule. And, you don't know, this soon after the accident, whether your mother has a serious injury. All hope is not lost yet!
You have a Malvern zip code. I live in Malvern, also!
Please call my office on Monday afternoon to discuss whether your mother fits into any of the Limited Tort exceptions. Feel free to visit my website--I've been representing victims of car accidents for more than 32 years! Thank you.
