There are many more facts I would need to review before providing you with an answer to your question. However, the easiest approach is, if you have homeowner's insurance, ot tenant's insurance, notify your insurance company of the incident and the claim being made against you. The insurance company will represent you. If you do not have an insurance company, please feel free to contact me for further information.

The following reply is based on the facts you provided and Pennsylvania law.
Depending upon various other facts that we would have to explore there is a possibility that your neighbor would have grounds to maintain a suit against you. However, you may be able to assert a variety a defenses to such claims. We wouild need to look at particular details of the event.
Please give me a call if you would like to discuss the matter in more detail.
