Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

If a person slipped on a patch of ice in a mall parking lot 2 days after a major snow storm and suffered a major injury (central cord syndrome - unable to walk unaided, limited use of hands and has been in a rehab hospital for 6 weeks after surgery), is there any liability to the mall?

There may very well be. It is dependent on the facts of the case. With the injuries involved this is a very serious matter. You would be well advised to consult with an attorney as soon as possible. feel free to contact my office to discuss this matter further if you would like. You do not incate when this fall occurred this may be relevant as there is a 2 year statute of limitations for cases such as these.

We would have to hear more facts, but initially this sounds like a strong case for liability against the mall. You should contact an attorney to discuss your options and recovery. Feel free to call our offices.

It is likely the Mall, or the snow cleaning contractor, will be found liable. I would need to review the facts in detail. I am very sorry that you (or whoever you are writing about) suffered this serious injury. I have been handling these types of cases for over 25 years. I would be glad to review this matter in detail. There is no fee for a consultation, which can be over the telephone or any other convenient manner. There is no attorney fee in these cases unless we make a monetary recovery. Please contact me if you would like to discuss further. Good luck!!

A place open to the public for business has a duty to maintain the premises so that they are safe. Generally in regard to snow and ice removal, the owner of the place must remove snow and ice within a reasonable time. The likelihood of you being successful will depend on many facts like the weather conditions, where on the property you fell, what steps were taken to make the property reasonably safe.

The injuries you describe are serious and you should not wait unnecessarily to contact a lawyer. In this type of case the lawyer who represents you needn't live in or near the area of the incident. In your choice of lawyers you should consider the resources that the law firm has to devote to your representation, the experience of the particular lawyer who you select. Most competent firms these days have a website where you were able to learn more about the firm and the lawyers working there.

Our firm handles serious cases involving people who have suffered injuries not unlike those you describe. Most of our work relates to representing those who have been injured in a healthcare setting. We therefore have considerable experience in representing clients whose opponents or adversaries are major corporations or powerful companies.

After you have given careful consideration to your options I hope you will call us. If you do call please speak to my partner Paul Giuffre who has more experience than I in this type of case. Whoever you decide to use, I wish you luck..
