Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania
personal injury
An adult broke his ankle with a hairline fracture while doing a backflip on our trampoline. He went to the emergency room and told the addmissions desk he fell down his landlord's steps. He had a falling out with my husband (his cousin) and is now suing us for his hospital bills and lost wages. He worked and made over $2,400 in the month of July but was paid cash. He has a serious criminal past and has been to jail several times for not paying his child support. He always claims he has some reason why he can't work and we just happen to be it this time. The court has put him in jail several times for nonpayment and he is due to go back next wed. Are we in any way libel for his bills or his so called lost wages, especially since he is an adult and climbed on that trampoline of his own free will? Should we hire a lawyer and can we use his past against him if we have to go to court? He said that he is going to sue us for everyday that he is in jail since we are the reason he couldn't pay his child support. He made more money in July than we did but chose not to pay his child support. Can he sue us for the time he is in jail?

Re: personal injury
He can sue you, and he probably will. You should report the claim immediately to your homeowner's insurance. If you are not insured, you should hire a lawyer immediately. We handle cases like this, feel free to call our offices.
