Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

personal injury auto accident

I was injured in an auto accident on9-9-98 i obtained therapy to right neckand shoulderfor 4weeks .

I was hit from behind and i was the driver of my cousins car wearing a seat beltI was in a stopped position. The other driver had 50,000 worth of insurance three passengers in car and retained two lawyers. I sent my lawyer a lettr 9/7/00 informing him that it had been one year since i had heard from him and questions Pa statue of limitations I recieved no answer from him. I was informed by his paralegal that i would here from them

when they were ready for me to sign a release. also that a subrogation was filed with my cousins ins. co. due to the underinsurance of the driver . attorney stated the case was in litigation but he did not pay his bills. I was called on oct 6 to sign a release but not informed of a settlement .I do not feel my attorney has served me properly and i want to know what recorse i have and also since it has allready been two years how long can i wait to sign a release and if i am not satisfied with the amount what recourse do i have i was never asked if any thing was acceptable
