Legal Question in Product Liability in Pennsylvania
foreign object found in food item
this probably is a stupid question, but here is the situation; while i was eating an Atkins Low-Carb diet bar i bit into it and noticed there was something in the bar. inside is a folded piece of paper-type material, almost cardboard. it runs the length of inside the bar. i had already eaten about a quarter of it. I was totally freaked out because i had no idea what it was. I called the phone number on the box twice, explained the situation that i have no idea what is inside this bar and was extremely upset because i ate some of it! they assured me that someone would call me back. it has been 4 days and i have not received a call back. i called again and was put on hold for 25 minutes then i hung up. i am so mad that they are just blowing me off. Now, i wasnt physically harmed other than being sickened by biting into something and eating something that wasnt supposed to be there! Should I pursue this? shouldnt they take some responsibility? Thank you for your time-----

Re: foreign object found in food item
Without actual damages you really have no claim...other than a refund of your money for the value of the product purchased.
