Legal Question in Product Liability in Pennsylvania

i found a bug in a bag of frozen vegetables and also a piece of metal in the cheese of a store bought pizza. the manufacturers of both products sent me the purchase price of the product, and an apology but really doesnt hold them accountable. are there any further action i can take? i asked this question back on August 21 2010 and still have not received a reply!

You are entitled to be compensated for the harms and losses you suffered. It sounds like you got what you're entitled to. If you want to punish the manufacturers, you can report the manufacturers to local and state departments of health or state agencies regulating those industries. Feel free to call to discuss.
