Standard Contract w/Cliet

Is it standard practice that a lawyer asks for 40% of all money secured by reason of said claim or claims in addition to any unreimbursed expenses incurred in the investigation and prosecution of a claim?

Lawyers fees are set by the lawyer. Fees must be shopped around by the client. It is standard that all costs are paid by the client.
