Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

ATV use on Private Property

Our land is being taken over by ATV's. We have 150 acres some wooded. This is a working cattle farm. We own our own ATV's and our grandchildren who live on the other side of the farm have ATV's. The problem is with other neighbors in the area thinking that they have the right to ride their ATV's, mini bikes and such there also. We do know these people and talk with them. They have never asked if we minded if they ride on our land. It is getting to be a problem. What can we do to keep peace with the neighbors, keep them from riding on our land and let our grandchildren keep riding?

Re: ATV use on Private Property

First, you need to post the property with "no trespassing" signs. Second, you can politely inform your neighbors that from now on only your grandchildren can ride ATVs on the property and anyone else will be considered trespassers. You may want to explain your rationale behind your decision so that they do not take it personally. I offer free consultations.
