Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania
We bought a house that was built on an open plot next to an existing home. We have come to find that the neighbors deck is actually built on our land. What can I do in this situation so that we do not lose rights to the land.

First, didn't somebody do a survey when you brought the land? The next question is how long has the deck been there?
If the deck has been there over 21 years and the land it on wasn't the deck owners they might have rights to the land the deck is on. So while its a long time the deck has to be there the clock could have started earlier than you think.
