Breaking a Lease
I am moving over 1000 miles away from my currect apartment due to employment. The landlord is stating that we will have to pay the remainder of the lease. Is there any legal way to break the lease?

I recommend you contacting legal counsel ASAP, failure to have an attorney represent you on this matter will lead to a court action. Your legal counsel may be able to negotiate a buy out of your lease at a far reduced rate then they are asking for now.
