Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania
breaking rental lease
I have moved into a 4 bedroom apartment less then a week ago and the walls are leaking and the neighbors have walked on my car and have been firing guns and other things. My landlord has charged us double security deposit and first months rent. My marriage is biracial and so are my children but my landlord never said that it would be a problem in this neighborhood. I was told that I would break my lease but I don't want to lose my deposits.
Please advise

Re: breaking rental lease
You first need to contact and retain legal counsel on this matter as soon as possible. As it relates to your case, you have several options, first have your attorney try to negotiate a settlement agreement with the landlord, if this doesn't work your attorney can instruct you on the pros and cons of filing a civil suit.
