Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Business with a lease

IF a company (tennant) has a lease for 5 years and in the 3rd year the owner sells the building...must the new owner honor that lease or can the new owner kick the tennant out prematurely. (Before the lease expires)

Re: Business with a lease

First you have to look to what the lease says about a change in ownership. If the lease is does not say then you end up relying on either statue or common law. Generally, they can't just toss a business out.

I'm sorry I can give more than generalities. I just don't know all the facts.

Feel free to contact me and I can probably give you a better idea.
