Buying a house

we bought our house 5 years ago. We have a mortgage threw a bank. The sellers of the house claim we made a private loan from them in the amount of $5000.They said they will put a lien on our house if we do not pay. Can they do that. We disagree about the private loan. The house is completly ours all papers were signed.

Do they have anything in writing?

They would have to get a judgment against you to put a lien on your house.
