Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Buying a House

Hello. My boyfriend has been separated from his wife since 2001. The supposedly have divorce papers signed, but not processed yet. My boyfriend was thinking about buying a new house now. If he does, since he's still legally married, will she get half of the house? Or since the divorce papers didn't have anything about the house on it, will she have any rights to the house at all? Also, what if someone was willed a house. Would the wife get half of that as well? Thank you.

Re: Buying a House

You asked questions about real estate and a pending divorce.

While these answers are relatively straight forward you need to hire an attorney to wrap things up rather than depending on a free inline advice service. These are the types of specific questions that shouldn't be answered on this forum.

Roger
