Buying a house

I'm buying a house from a friend/ for 15,000. I paid her todate, all but $4500,I want to pay it off in 1 week, I was on line/ deeds .com to see if i can get a legel document/papers to finalize it. Is that possible or do i have to get a attorney, to do the deed. I check on line / there are no liens on the house everything is clean. Can I download these legal papers on line do the paperwork and take it to the courthouse. Thank you Carla

You are playing with fire. I suggest that you have a title company or attorney certify there are no liens befire your last payment.Are there water bills,sewer bill? The title company or attorney will prepare a deed. There is a lot of issues of which you are not aware and as a result you may be putting yourself at risk. Gerald Hershenson
