Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

For Christmas, my boyfriend gave me a ring his grandfather gave him. Two months later, he broke up with me. I asked him if he wanted the ring back, because I felt bad keeping it. He said no, and later started harassing me for it back. Legally, who has rights to this ring? It was not an engagement ring, and when he gave it to me it wasn't presented as a promise ring. His words were, "I want you to have this," but I'm getting nervous about his level of anger in this situation.

Legally it was a gift under the circumstances you describe. However, since it was his grandfather's ring it obviously means a lot to him emotionally and perhaps you will find it in your heart to return it to him. It's the eternal conflict between what's legal and what's morally right.
