Dead tree at property line

Our neighbor has a hugh dead tree that is about 20 feet from my back door. The tree is dead and he has not made any attempt to cut it down. The tree will fall -most likely on my house- can I do anything to protect my house?

First, you could ask your neighbor to have the tree removed because of the danger it poses.

Also, check with your township or municipal office - they may be able to issue a notice requiring your neighbor to remove the dead tree.
