Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania
''death and real estate''
My father died a few months ago and I am left w/ his debt. He was still paying a mortgage that I have taken over but as I have been trying to get the house switched over into my name, because I am the only child and he did not have a will. I just found out my mother's, my father's ex- wife at the time of his death, has her name on the deed. I want to sell the house and pay off the mortgage but my mother doesn't want to either sign the house over or take over the mortgage. I need to know what my rights are and what is best to do legally.
