There are six owners of this farm property. This came about through inheratance. Two members from one family. Four from

the second family. Ownership is such 50% 16.66% 16.66% 5.55% 5.55% 5.55% The two with 16.66% are from one family

the 50% is the spouse of the deceased. the 5.55% are his children. The with 16.66% would like to take position of the land seperatly to build homes. The others object to their selection of location on the property. They object to selling the whole farm but want to dictate where the

two should live on the land. How should this be taken care

of legally? Is there any way to force an agreement? Do we need to take this to the court system for a judge to devide the land, or take action should this not be resolved.

Re: Division of the farm, reluctance to devide by some

If the parties cannot agree you would need to file an action for partition. The judge could divide the property or force a sale of the property. To avoid the time and expense of court the other owners may wish to but out the 16% owners. I offer free consultations.
