Entitled to money
a friend of mine was living with a married couple and paid the
mortgage from her paycheck the house has been sold and the
money is being held in escrow until the divorce settlement is done
is she entitled a third of that money?????

In the absence of a contrary written agreement you friend is not entitled to a share of the proceeds. More facts are needed to be evaluated to determine if there is a claim. If promises were made then those facts should be reviewed by an attorney to determine if there is a claim. If one of the parties will support the contention that your friend has an interest, please seek the advice of legal counsel. It is possible that a claim can be established, but it is unlikely given the limited facts presented.
