Can I be evicted?
I live in a small cottage that I built on my mother's property. She also lives on the property in a seperate residence, and runs a business from her home. I have resided here for 2 years, and there has never been a rental agreement, or anything in writing. She has verbally bestowed ownership of the house to me on several occasions, and has voiced the same to others in my presence.
In May of this year, my mother and I had a disagreement over something not relevant to the home, and she has not spoken to me since. However, she is threatening eviction proceedings via messages to me through friends and family.
I would like to know.....Is it is possible for her to evict me? Can you also tell me what my rights are, since I am not actually a "tenant"?

In my opinion you can be evicted. An agreement to transfer an interest in real estate must be in writing. If there is no writing your mother can revoke her oral promise. I suggest you make up with your mother and get something in writing. Even your mother desired to keep her promise unless there was a writing, upon her death the interest would follow the will or the intestate laws of Pennsylvania. You do not have a legal interest unless you can establish a trust was created. However, a lot more information is needed. Suggest you seek legal counsel.
