father wants property back

My father gave me a cabin and property 3 years ago. The deed has been transferred to me and I have been paying the taxes and insurance ever since. Can he legally take it back now?

You asked about taking back property.

The law is absolutely clear that all agreements regarding property must be in writing to be enforceable. Assuming that the facts you provided are accurate and that there are no other agreements that could be included then a person cannot demand property back.

But given that the person is your father I am pretty sure that your decision does not end there.
