Fighting Adverse Possession

A neighbor build a driveway on our property before we moved in 13 years ago. Knowing that it was not their property. They would like to settle up the property line now. The driveway we realize has been there but they also want a 3 foot rightway in our yard to push their snow.( They could push it to the end of the driveway.) We pay the taxes on the property. They are threating Adverse possession if we do not agree to their terms. We do not want them to have a right away in our grass. What are our rights?

In Pennsylvania a land owner must establish twenty one years of continous usage in order to establish adverse possession. There are many other factors that have to be considered before adverse possession can be ordered. I suggest you contact an attorney. The longer you delay the more problems you will have.
