It is very unlikely, however, in the event the amount of the loan is in excess of the amount of the propert's value / worth and / or purchase price, the mortgage holder may seek out an additional judgement against the individual(s) who were listed on the mortgage to cover the difference. Which may include a possible sheriff's sale on your personal property if you did not pay. But mind you this is very rare, but possible. Retain an attorney before your foreclosure goes any further, there are options to protect you.
