Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania
Foreclosures
I have recently begun investing in real estate. I am looking into properties that are listed for Sheriff's sale by a certain county. I want to buy these properties directly from the owners before they are sold by the sheriff. I wholesale or flip properties so this method would be more beneficial to me. I want to know if this is legal. FYI, the county in Pennsylvania that I'm refering to is Montgomery County.
Thank you,

Re: Foreclosures
What you propose is legal. However, it is dangerous unless you throughly investigate the status of title and accurately determine the liens against the property. In addition, you should seek legal advice or suffer the possibility of losing money or otherwise placing yourself at financial risk. Gerald Hershenson 215-579-9390
