Re: garnishment due to foreclosure

In a mortgage foreclosure action a Lender is seeking possession of the property to satisfy the debt. If there is a deficiency in the amount owed after a sheriff sale, the deficiency must be determined by a Court hearing. In Pennsylvania garnishment of wages is not permitted under these circumstance to collect the deficiency. The debtor has other remedies to to collect any deficiency.
