Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

I gifted a large sum of money to my then-fiancee to purchase our house. After years of living at the property and investing another large amount of my money into the house, we spilt. She is now living in the house with two friends and refuses to sell it and give me what is mine from the sale of the house. Do I have any legal right forcing her to sell and giving me a share of the sale money?

Did you have anything in writing to substantiate that the money you gave her was a loan. I assume the home is only in her name. If it is in both names you have a right to any monies she is receiving from the friends and can institute a partition action to force a sale and to claim any potential credits. However you said you gifted a large sum of money and if your money was a gift then it belongs to her and you probably have no recorse. Your best advice would be to review your situation in depthwith an attorney. Different facts and other information can impact a situation therefore the information in here is general and should not be relyed on without speaking with an attorney who can analyze all facts.
