Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania
My granfather passed away recently and left everything in my fathers name with the understanding that my sister and I split the proceeds from the sale of the house. Is there an advantage for my father to put the house in my sister and my name or just keep it in his name and sell it and give us the proceeds?

Understandings, especially unwritten ones, are frequently unenforceable in an estate situation in a court of law.
