Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Homeowner Association Out of Control

My HOA is suing me over a fence. They claim they turned down my proposal to construct the fence at a meeting I did not attend. Neighbors who were in attendance claim that my fence was never discussed. The HOA has refused to turn over minutes from that meeting claiming that the minutes are private. Is it legal for an entity such as an HOA to privatize minutes from what is supposed to be a public meeting?

Re: Homeowner Association Out of Control

As a member of the Assoc. you are entitled to the minutes. However, you should check the Assn bylaws for any other ramifications. Go to the next meeting and raise the issue.
