On a land deed between brothers, what does "tenants in common" mean?

it means you each have an undived interest in the land and can transfer or devise by will your interest in the property to your heirs by will or sell or transfer to another. It does not have the surviorship element of a joint tenancy with right of surviorship which would be another way to hold the property. This would mean if one of owers died his interest would pass to the surviving co owners.
