Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania
Can land leased for hunting be sold by the owner? Here's the issue; 4 lots were placed on sale by the land owner in 2007. These lots are cleared and only a small portion of the total land owned. In 2012, the owner leased his land, much of it being wooded and suitable for hunting, to a group of hunters. I'm interested in purchasing one of the cleared lots but I'm being threatened by the hunters who leased the land. Do they have any right to keep me from purchasing the lot?

Seriously? You can buy the property but the lease will be an encumbrance. Sort of like an easement. You can buy the property but you have to honor the lease. Once the lease ends then you can do what you want.
