Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Landlord-Tenant Question

I am a new Landlord in the State of Pennsylvania and I am writing up an agreement and in the section for rent, I'm not sure how much I am able to charge for a late fee if they are late on the rent. How much can I charge?

Re: Landlord-Tenant Question

That depends on a number of factors. One of which is how much is the rent.

As a new landlord its good you get it right the first time. Do overs are expensive. There are all sorts of things that need to be in a lease so you don't end up in court. Some are mandated by state laws some are mandated by federal laws.

Bottom line its worth the few bucks it would cost to have a solid lease drafted then take a chance on throwing something together and then having to spend a lot more down the road.
