Landlord/Tenant rental dispute

I signed a lease with 12 other individuals, 6 did decided not to live there. I paid my calculated share of the rent and also security deposist. Now the landlord is holding me and others responsible for the whole rent along with interest. What are my options?

All the individuals who signed the lease are responsible to the Landlord. The Landlord does not have to sue all the individuals. You can be forced to pay. The only option for you is to sue those who decided not to live there, join them in any lawsuit filed by the Landlord or get other individuals to replace them on the lease. Your question is not clear and my advice assumes that you still live in the rental property. If you don't live in the property, I strongly urge you to obtain representation from legal counsel.
