Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Lease Purchase

My husband and I recently signed a lease with purchase option. At that time there were a few things that needed replaced or fixed in the property which they said they would do, but it is 3 months now and nothing has been fixed or replaced. Is there anything we can do to get out of this lease with purchase option? The owner told us the lease option is written so tight that there is nothing we can do to get out of it for at least 4 years. We pay $1441.00 a month for 4 yrs and that money will then cover maybe all of our closing costs and maybe not. We went this way because we filed bankruptcy last year and thought this would give us a fresh start. Ha Ha I wouls appreciate as much information as you could possibly give to me. Thank you,--

Re: Lease Purchase

It is difficult to advise you without reviewing the lease agreement. I suggest you consult with legal counsel in order to get proper advice. Your rights would be fixed by the interpretation of that agreement. You may have an out but it is impossible to properly advise you without an adequate review of the terms of the agreement.
